I'm enjoying the music life these days more than I have since leaving Arizona. I play this piano every Friday night in front of a great Irish pub on Miracle Mile. Usually I'm joined by my friend Dorian on drums. We play a wide smattering of tunes, from the Beatles to Elton John to Nirvana. Kind of what ever I am in the mood for. It is awesome.
It is really exactly what I have been looking for. Dorian and I also have a band, called Dellorian Mack, but we just found our last night our bass player Mike is moving to San Diego in a couple of months. This is the second time in 3 years that a fun band has been adjourned because one of the members is leaving Miami. I figure next time it is my turn to be the one to exodus. I see maybe 2 more years here. Who knows.
As I tell people, I love my day to day life, with the perpetual sunshine, my job is fullfilling, and Nicole Dylan and I have a great time. But when the time passes, and I look back on a year or a couple of years, I am not sure exactly what we are doing here. Friendships aren't quite as deep as I am expecting. Milestones don't have the same weight that they should. Maybe that will change, but maybe not.
Dylan is amazing. So smart, a great student, a better friend, and wild. Oh, and we got Teddy!
That changed everything! Welcome Teddy!!!!
