New Years on the East Coast
DYLAN'S FIRST HANUKKAH, CHRISTMAS, AND NEW YEARS!
So, Dylan, you had a wonderful holiday season and New Years. We spent Christmas and Hanukkah in Niagara Falls, where the average temperature was in the low 40s and there was no snow. After Christmas we went up to Syracuse and stayed with Grandma Jill and saw Grandpa Jef and GG (Grandma Gwen). There was no snow there either! However, this morning we woke up to a light covering of 2 inches of snow here in Niagara Falls. It is beautiful (although I know everyone is thinking that is easy for me to say since we are heading back to Arizona in 3 days).

So much to report. Dylan is all about Peek-a-Boo now, just loves it. Also, is sitting up like a champ playing with her toys, and has outgrown all of her 6-month pjs. She is enjoying tummy time now, and seems really close to crawling, although she still hasn't gotten her belly off the ground yet. She was given some great new toys, but still seems to love her "mythical creature" toy the best (pictured above), and it has spent a majority of its lifetime in her mouth.

Dylan has been staying up really late, her schedule is all screwed up, which we kind of expected. She was up to celebrate her first New Years Eve ball drop. She liked watching al of the people, but wasn't too impressed by Lady Gaga's performance. I share her sentiments.
In Niagara Falls she has seen the falls, spent time with Dani Franco who visited for a few days, loved hanging with her uncle Gary and Aunt Amy, and Aunt Natalie and Uncle Terry. She also saw Fran and John, and David and Martina.

In Syracuse, Dylan saw Joe Lamanna at Carousel Mall, and rode the carousel. She loved the carousel, I think she might be a bit of a daredevil, so I am looking forward to riding roller coasters with her when she is tall enough. Maybe she'll be a race car driver! I don't think her Mom would like that much. Shahriar came over one evening for dinner. We also went to the Stone Quarry Hill Art Park and saw Howie's sculpture there, called "Outcroppings". Here is a picture Nicole got - there was snow there because it is higher elevation in Cazenovia:
What else...? Darlene finished renovating the basement at Nana's, and it looks amazing. Nicole has been helping her finish the back room. In fact, I am down there right now and I can hear them moving furniture upstairs, some things never change.
It has been wonderful to be here, and we are looking forward to coming back in the Summer. I have contacted some local music festivals about working for them this summer, so hopefully something will come through. We have so many pictures that we need to look through them and pick some good ones to put up here. Until then, as usual, a Youtube link (I just finished reading Breakfast at Tiffany's last night).
